Hand MS Latin Students Received National Awards
Every year, the Latin students from Hand MS participate in several academic competitions sponsored by the American Classical League and Nation Junior Classical League. One of them is the National Latin Exam; a competition for Latin I and Latin II students and an opportunity to receive national recognition for their hard wrok in the classroom. More than 150,000 students from the U.S. as well as Germany, Japan, Canada, England participated in the National Latin Exam. Hand MS students received the following awards.
Silver medals/Maxima Cum Laude: L. Chruszcz, C. Deng, D. Empleo
Magna Cum Laude: J. Rowe
Certificates of Merit: A. Cowlings, L. Collins, H. Lamey
Congratulation to the 7th and *th graders for their for their excellent participation in the Pegasus National Mythology Exam, a competition sponsored by the American Classical League and is given annually to over 6,000 students in approximately 450 schools nationally and internationally
